Partners

The Barrie Sports Hall of Fame could not continue to thrive in our community without the support of our partners. Our heart-felt thanks goes out to all of them.

The City of Barrie generously hosts the Hall of Fame at the Allandale Recreation Centre and maintains the portraits, memorabilia and display cases. For the past 26 years they have also provided the location for the Sports Hall of Fames annual induction ceremonies. A city liaison person attends all of the Sports Hall meetings. We thank the City of Barrie for their long time support of the Hall.
The Barrie Examiner has given extensive coverage to numerous Barrie Sports Hall of Fame events over the years. As a lead up to the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, the Barrie Examiner prepares articles on the nominees for induction and awards. We thank them for broadening awareness of our Society and keeping the Barrie community informed of the accomplishments of Barrieā€™s great athletes and sports volunteers.
We thank Rogers TV for its ongoing and thorough coverage of the Hall of Fame through countless interviews. It has also stepped in to broadcast the Awards Ceremony evenings starting in 2006, and supports the society through many ways, including allowing use of video and images on this web site.
Herman Koeslag of Eye in the Sky photography is the official photographer for the Hall of Fame. He has provided many of the images used on this web site. Herman has photographed the Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremonies and other Hall of Fame functions for a number of years. High quality reprints of any Hall of Fame function may be purchased through his web site.
Don Komarechka is the designer and host of the Barrie Sports Hall of Fame’s new website. He spent countless hours in getting the website up and running. He also serves as the website manager. The Barrie Sports Hall appreciates his dedication and commitment.
